Romanian-owned airline AnimaWings has added another Airbus A220-300 to its fleet, third of this type and the fifth operational aircraft overall. By the end of 2027, the carrier plans to expand its fleet to 18 aircraft.
The Airbus A220-300 is a state-of-the-art aircraft, and the version chosen by AnimaWings is specially configured for both local and international markets. It features 137 seats, including 12 in business class and 125 in economy, arranged in a five-abreast layout.
Starting this autumn, the airline will launch 12 new routes connecting Romania’s main airports with key European and international destinations such as Istanbul, Munich, Prague, Sofia, Tel Aviv, and Dubai.
Through this record investment in modern aircraft and a growing destination network, AnimaWings aims to provide a premium alternative at affordable fares. Services include free cabin baggage (8 kg + 4 kg), free seat selection, and both online and offline check-in at no charge.
In just one year after fully taking over the company, we achieved the fastest expansion in the Romanian market, bringing five aircraft into our fleet — three of them brand new, straight from the factory
