Eighteen years after pioneering the concept of integrated urbanism in Romania, Opus Land Development has announced a new large-scale project: Cosmopolis Evolia, a €200 million investment planned as an extension of the country’s largest private residential community.
The project, covering 270,000 square meters adjacent to Cosmopolis, will deliver approximately 350 housing units per year over the next decade. The first development phase includes 250 villas and 200 apartments, ranging from studios to penthouses.

Designed by British architecture firm Studio Wild 15, the masterplan emphasizes green spaces, community areas, and sustainable infrastructure, with planned facilities including schools, medical centers, recreational areas, commercial spaces, and roads integrated into a cohesive urban layout.
Education remains a cornerstone of the development. The nearby Mark Twain International School already operates a campus in Cosmopolis, while other international schools such as Cambridge, Olga Gudynn, and the American International School are within a 15-minute drive.
The project will integrate the My Cosmopolis platform, Romania’s first community app managing over 17,000 residents, which enables property management, fee payments, and visitor access.
Cosmopolis hosts more than 17,000 residents and amenities including over 60 outdoor pools, a retail park with 70 stores, medical centers, sports facilities, and even a private beach. By 2035, the overall community is expected to reach 35,000 inhabitants and more than 12,000 housing units.
