Dacia has reached a new production milestone at its Mioveni plant, rolling out the 100,000th Bigster just one year after the model entered series production. The milestone vehicle, a Hybrid 155 version finished in Indigo Blue with a black roof, has been allocated to a customer in Romania.

In the Romanian market, Bigster sales began in April last year and reached nearly 3,500 units by the end of 2025. Customers showed a clear preference for Journey and Extreme versions, which together accounted for around 90% of total sales. Hybrid powertrains dominated demand, with roughly two-thirds of buyers opting for the Hybrid 155 engine.

Exports dominate production

More than 95% of Bigster production is destined for export. By the end of 2025, the strongest sales were recorded in France, with 16,300 units sold, followed by Germany with 13,700 units. Spain and Italy rounded out the top markets, with sales of 4,500 and 4,000 units, respectively.

Since its commercial launch, the Dacia Bigster has collected 19 international awards, including “Best Family SUV” in the United Kingdom and “Best Affordable SUV” in Germany, reinforcing its positioning in the highly competitive European SUV segment.
