UNCHAIN Festival 2024 edition in Oradea, Romania

As financial technology continues to transform economies worldwide, the UNCHAIN Fintech Festival returns to Oradea on June 17–18, bringing together key players from across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to explore the growing impact of fintech across multiple industries.

Now in its third year, the festival has established itself as a leading platform for cross-sector dialogue and regional cooperation. This year’s edition will welcome over 50 commercial banks, 10 national banks and regulatory institutions, and more than 200 fintech companies and technology innovators. Organizers expect around 700 attendees.

The event comes at a time of increasing collaboration among national fintech associations in the CEE region. Notably, Ukraine’s fintech sector continues to contribute actively, even amid ongoing conflict. These associations are not only co-hosting the festival but also playing a strategic role in fostering regional partnerships through the ongoing Unchain CEE Fintech Tour.

A central feature of the event will be the Fintersections track, which explores how embedded financial services are reshaping industries. Topics will include the integration of payments and insurance into fleet management, the role of retailers as fintech providers through loyalty programs and crypto, and new financing solutions for the agriculture sector.

Held in the historic setting of Oradea Fortress, the festival provides a space for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. Since launching in 2022, UNCHAIN has become a key venue for bridging traditional industries with the fast-moving world of financial innovation.
