The first direct charter flight from Romania to Bulgaria for the Pamporovo ski resort was presented at a press conference at the Bulgarian Embassy in Bucharest. The inaugural flight will be on December 28, 2024.
Take-off is every Saturday from Otopeni International Airport ”Henri Coandă” at 7:00 AM, landing in Plovdiv at 8:00 AM. Departure from Plovdiv to Romania is weekly at 14:25 PM. Flights are operated by AnimaWings with Airbus 220-300 airplanes.
Located in the Rhodope Mountains, on the border with Greece, Pamporovo is a top ski resort for the UK and Irish markets and is served by Plovdiv Airport. It has 65 kilometers of ski slopes, and the maximum capacity of the ski lifts is 30,000 to 40,000 tourists per hour.
