Rents in Bucharest increased by 20% since the beginning of last year

This year started with a 49% increase in page views for real estate rental ads in January compared to December 2022, according to Storia.ro data.

At the same time, the number of calls for rental category ads increased by 25% compared to the previous month and by 21% compared to the same month last year.

Also, the average trading duration of rental offers was 12% lower compared to the same month last year, which confirms the increased interest for rents.

In January, the average prices for renting a studio apartment in Bucharest were between 280 euros (in Sector 5) and 360 euros (in Sector 1), and two-room apartments had average prices between 400 euros (Sector 4 and 5) and 600 euros (Sector 1).

Three-room apartments had average prices between 450 euros (in Sector 6) and 850 euros (Sector 1), while for four-room apartments, average prices were between 505 euros (Sector 6) and 1900 euros ( Sector 1).

Thus, average rental prices in Sector 1 increased by 3% in January 2023 compared to December last year. In Sectors 2, 3, and 5 prices stagnated, while in Sector 6 fell by 2% and in Sector 4 by 1%.
