Untold Festival 2022 has been voted in the top 10 biggest festivals in the world in a ranking made by DJ Mag, world’s largest publication in the electronic music industry.
Thus, the Cluj-Napoca festival ranks 9th in Top 100 biggest festivals in the world, higher than traditional festivals such as Burning Man or Sziget. The other world-known festival in Romania, Neversea, is ranked 51st in the same top.
Tomorrowland has been voted the voted World’s No. 1 Festival. The flagship event expanded from two to three weekends in July 2022, welcoming 600,000 visitors from 200 countries. Ultra Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas complete the Top 3.
In the first poll since 2019, and returning as a Top 100 as opposed to the previous list of 50, over 100,000 verified votes were counted in the 2022 Top 100 Festivals poll from the 5th to the 26th October 2022.
