Social media startup eYou has surpassed 100,000 users just eight weeks after its public launch and introduced a new video feature designed around AI-powered fact-checking and user-controlled algorithms.
Every uploaded video is automatically analyzed by an AI-powered fact-checking system that reviews both spoken audio and accompanying text before publication. Videos are also automatically transcribed to improve accessibility. Even more, users can disable video content entirely from their feed if they choose.
Our goal was never to create yet another endless scrolling experience. We wanted to build a video feed that users control, rather than one that controls them

Unlike many fast-growing consumer apps, the company says its first 100,000 users were acquired entirely through word of mouth, without paid marketing campaigns. The platform has been developed by a team of four people, including its two founders.
Its largest user communities are currently located in Romania, Germany, the United Kingdom and France. Users open the application an average of 7.7 times per day, spend roughly 45 minutes daily on the platform and generate a retention rate of 43%.
Seed funding to support European expansion
The company is currently finalizing a €1.3 million seed financing round backed by a venture capital fund and several business angels, with more than half of the funding already committed.
The capital will support expansion across Europe, with Romania, Germany and France identified as priority markets, as eYou aims to reach one million users within the next 12 months.
