A Turkish consortium to build the new metro line to Henri Coanda Airport. How much will it cost

Future Henri Coanda Airport Metro Station

The design and execution contract, with a value of 1.27 billion lei (without VAT), for Tokyo – Henri Coanda Airport / Otopeni Airport new metro line was awarded to a Turkish consortium.

Financing for this contract is coming from state budget and external reimbursable funds. Construction works are scheduled to last 48 months.

Lot 1.2 (Tokyo – Henri Coanda Airport) on Line 6 will have a length of 7.6 km. Six new metro stations will be built: Washington, Paris, Brussels, Otopeni (town), Ion I.C. Bratianu, Henri Coanda / Otopeni Airport.

After completion, this lot will complete the Metro Line 6 and will ensure the connection between the current existing 1 Mai metro station and Henri Coanda / Otopeni Airport. Thus, Line 6 will have a length of 14.2 km and 12 stations.
