Increase of newly established companies with foreign capital in Romania

The number of newly established companies with foreign capital in Romania increased, in the first 11 months of 2022, by 30.1%, compared to the similar period in 2021.

But these 6,873 new companies had a subscribed capital of USD 38.105 million, 7.3% lower than that of companies registered in the period January-November 2021.

At the end of November 2022, there were 243,720 companies with foreign participation in the share capital. Subscribed capital value was USD 67.245 billion.

Investors from Italy own the largest number of companies with foreign participation, 51,700 (subscribed capital of USD 4.015 billions), but the highest value of the share capital belongs to Dutch companies, USD 12.573 billion, in 5,857 companies.
