President Iohannis received gifts worth only 4,753 euros last year

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis received gifts worth only 4,753 euros (23,515 lei) in 2022. The most expensive gift received was an amber painting representing the dome of Solomon’s temple in Jerusalem with a wooden frame, worth 1,125 euros (5,565.83 lei).

A printed sheet worth EUR 920 (4,551.61 lei), a silk replica of the 1822 battle flag worth EUR 410 (2,028.44 lei), a set of two cups, two saucers, a milk bowl, a sugar bowl, and a teapot worth EUR 280 (1,385.28 lei) and a Flyte lamp in a cardboard box (worth 237 euros) followed.

Other gifts received by Mr. Iohannis had a value of under two hundred euros to a low of fifteen euros (74.22 lei), the value of a metal pin, representing three interspersed circles, in a cardboard box.

All twenty-six objects received by President Klaus Iohannis in 2022 for protocol remained in the patrimony of the Presidential Administration, according to Agerpres.
