More than 53% of Romanians know people who have been infected with COVID-19 in the last 3 months, and 55% say they are slightly or not at all worried about the current risk of infection.
According to Reveal Marketing Research, 29% of Romanians say that they have had symptoms that could indicate a COVID-19 infection in the past 3 months, but have not had a test to confirm it.
Among people infected with COVID-19, the majority report moderate (41%) or mild (34%) symptoms, but 11% have had more severe forms of the infection. The percentage is significantly higher among the over 55s (30%), an age group known to be more vulnerable to the virus.
Furthermore, 53% of Romanians know people who have been infected with COVID-19 in the last 3 months, with the majority of cases among friends and colleagues (40%) or family (32%).
Regarding preventive measures against COVID-19, such as wearing a mask, social distancing, disinfection, etc., most Romanians say that they partially comply with them (45%).
Some 23% consider that these measures are not necessary, 18% largely ignore them, and 14% comply strictly. In the current context, 67% of Romanians do not expect restrictive measures in the coming months, despite the increase in COVID-19 cases.
