Compared to the end of 2020, the average car price increased by 46%, from 7,664 euros in December 2020 to 11,198 euros in December 2022. Relative to the built year, cars between 5 and 10 years old became more expensive.
Thus, in December 2022, the average price for cars of this age was 23% higher than in December 2021 and 49% higher than in December 2020. Compared to 2022, the most popular car models on Autovit.ro have seen price increases between 16% and 26%.
BMW 3 series registered the biggest evolution of the average price to an average price, from 11,342 euros in 2021 up to 18,254 euros in 2022. The Audi A4 and Dacia Logan follow, with average price increases of 25%.
The most published ads were for cars with values between 10,000 and 25,000 euros (31%), followed by those for models between 5,000 and 10,000 euros (26%) or under 5,000 euros (22%).
Car brands with the most offers were Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Ford. Buyers focused on Volkswagen and BMW, accounting for 27% of total visits on the platform.
