Piața 9 opens Bakery P9 concept at Victoria Center Bucharest

Oradea-born fresh food concept Piața 9 is making its Bucharest debut with Bakery P9, taking over a prime 200 sqm ground-floor space at Victoria Center on Calea Victoriei, previously occupied by American giant Starbucks.

Launched in 2018 by Anca and Daniel Galea, who bring over a decade of UK butchery experience with partners like Asda and Tesco, Piața 9 fuses premium meat counter, custom preparation, bakery and ready-to-eat options into an artisanal food hall experience.

The Bucharest outpost focuses on Bakery P9, spotlighting handcrafted breads, pastries and select ingredients in a space designed for urban foot traffic. Backed by a 150+ employee team across divisions, artisanal chocolate, patisserie, restaurant, butchery, confectionery and bakery, the brand scales its Oradea model, where a 200 sqm launch exploded into a 400 sqm food hall with 200+ seats in under a year.

The Victoria Center spot, in a 8,600 sqm GLA mixed-use building with 92 parking spots, slots perfectly into Calea Victoriei’s upscale vibe, targeting office workers, shoppers and residents craving grab-and-go authenticity.
