Bucharest’s Christmas markets attracted more than2.5 million visitors during the 2025 holiday season, according to data released by the Bucharest City and Sector 6 Halls. The events were organised across four major locations in the Romanian capital: Constitution Square, University Square, the esplanade of the National Opera, and Drumul Taberei Park.
The flagship Christmas market in Constitution Square, now in its 18th edition, ran from 29 November to 28 December and served as the city’s official holiday event. Over the 30-day period, the programme included dozens of live concerts and performances.
West Side Christmas Market reaches one million visitors
Another major attraction was the West Side Christmas Market, held in Drumul Taberei Park and organised by Untold Universe, in partnership with Sector 6 City Hall. The event opened on 28 November and ran for 31 days, hosting live performances and Christmas-themed shows.
According to the organisers around 11,000 children visited Santa Claus and received small gifts, and 2,700 children participated in creative workshops. More than 400,000 decorative lights were installed across the park.
