Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard will officially open Bucharest’s winter holiday season on 24 November at 7:00 PM, unveiling the city’s first Christmas decorations for 2025. The event marks the symbolic launch of the capital’s festive calendar.

This year’s theme draws heavily on Victorian aesthetics, reinterpreting Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol through a theatrical visual concept crafted by Lithuanian designer Mantas Petruškevičius.

Each area of the hotel will represent one of the three Christmas spirits, Past, Present, and Future, inviting visitors into an immersive narrative experience aligned with Corinthia’s philosophy of crafted, heartfelt hospitality.

The exterior installation is anchored by a decorative composition nearly 20 meters high, designed as individual loges for Nutcracker soldiers, arranged to resemble a festive orchestra announcing the start of Christmas.

The façade blends the grace of a grand theatre performance with the nostalgic charm of a Dickensian stage, enhanced by precision lighting that highlights the building’s architectural details from all viewpoints.

For the 2025 season, the hotel will be adorned with 8,500 meters of light garlands, 20 natural Christmas trees, 90 artificial trees, 8 horse-shaped decorations, 20 balloon ornaments, 6 balcony and canopy decorative structures, and 11 Nutcracker soldiers standing between 184 and 275 centimeters tall.

As the property opened earlier this year, the interior décor makes its debut as an additional attraction. Crafted by Florăria Iris, under the direction of Nicu Bocancea, the design introduces a contemporary take on Victorian elegance.

Part of NIRO Investment Group, Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard was inaugurated in spring 2025 after an extensive restoration. The property features 30 exclusive suites, a fine-dining venue Boulevard 73, the Heritage Bar, Belle Époque-inspired event halls, and a boutique spa.
