Petrom posted a net profit of over two billion euros in 2022, the highest ever for a Romanian company

Sales also reached a record value of 61 billion lei, being 2.3 times higher than those in 2021

Petrom reported a net profit of 10.3 billion lei (over 2 billion euros) for 2022, more than three and a half times higher than 2021, and the highest profit ever achieved by a Romanian company.

The contribution at the state budget, through taxes and dividends, reached a record level of 20 billion lei. The increase in taxes was determined, mainly, by taxes and contributions specific to the industry, totaling over 7 billion lei.

Based on the preliminary results for the financial year ended on December 31, 2022, dividends will be paid in the gross amount of 0.0375 lei/share. It is an annual increase of 10%.

Petrom is 51.2% owned by the Austrian group OMV. The Romanian state, through the Ministry of Energy, owns 20.7% of the company’s shares, and the rest of 28.1% of shares are freely traded.
