Romania’s team for the 2024 Olympic Games departed on Sunday on a TAROM charter flight to Paris on board a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, renamed Nadia Comăneci for this event.
Team Romania has 107 athletes who will compete in 18 different sports disciplines at the Olympic Games. The Nadia Comăneci aircraft has been renamed following an agreement with the great Romanian gymnast, holder of five Olympic gold medals
The 82 athletes who left on Sunday from ”Henri Coandă Airport” to the French capital are going to compete in boxing, rowing, cycling, artistic gymnastics, swimming, polo, fencing, table tennis, archery, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, and archery.
Members of Team Romania who will compete in the second part of the Games will leave for Paris over several days, starting on July 24.
