The cost of living remains the main concern for young Romanians (43% of Millennials and 29% of Gen Zs), but the share is slightly down compared to last year (when 44% of Millennials and 33% of Gen Zs ranked this factor first), according to Deloitte Global Gen Z and Millennial Survey 2024.
Also, nearly half of Romanian Gen Zs (47%) and 33% of Millennials expect their personal financial situation to improve, even though only 20% of both generations’ representatives expect an improvement of the national economy.
Regarding mental well-being, 64% of Millennials and 55% of Gen Zs say their current mental well-being is good or extremely good, and the share of Romanian Gen Zs who feel stressed most of the time decreased from 52% to 38%.
In exchange, it remains stable among Millennials (35%). The main stress factors are long-term financial situation (50% of Millennials and 52% of Gen Zs) and family welfare (47% of Millennials and 53% of Gen Zs).
