A Romanian startup is positioning itself as Europe’s answer to Big Tech’s social media dominance with eYou Social, now in pre-launch ahead of a May 2026 public rollout. Developed in Bucharest, the platform prioritises user control through seamless in-app fact-checking.

What sets eYou apart is its deliberate design to combat echo chambers: the feed algorithm promotes diverse viewpoints to encourage real dialogue rather than ideological silos. Privacy is non-negotiable, with architecture built to protect personal data from the kind of exploitation that defines U.S. platforms. Early adopters can register now for priority access.

French expat founders

Behind eYou are Jasseem Allybokus and Grégoire Vigroux, two French entrepreneurs long rooted in Bucharest, 10 and 20 years respectively. Allybokus, a serial founder, specialises in digital product scaling; Vigroux brings investor heft with four successful exits, including co-founding mobile app Bonapp and TELUS Digital Europe.

They’ve secured €300,000 in pre-seed funding from Fil Rouge Capital, a venture fund targeting early-stage innovators from pre-seed to Series A. At eYou, Allybokus handles product, and Vigroux leverages his CEE networks.
