The Romanian national team won, on Saturday, the World MiniFootball World Cup in Ras al Khaimah, UAE. Tricolors defeated Kazakhstan in the final, after a dramatic penalty kick shootout, with a score of 14-13.
Kazakhstan scored first, at the end of the first half, after Ungur’s own goal. After a very good first half, Romania lost the initiative in the second, and Tarzhanov made it 2-0 in the 37th minute.
The last minutes were incredible. Balog converted a penalty kick awarded by VAR in the 49th minute, and in the final minutes of the game, Balog scored a second goal, which sent the match into extra time.
Although Romania was more dangerous in the extra time two halves of five minutes each, the winner was decided after a penalty shootout. In the end, the score was 14-13 for the national team prepared by Virgil Bejenaru.
