Romania lost the European Table Tennis Championship final against Germany

Germany continues to rule the women’s side in the European Table Tennis Championship after a 3-0 win against Romania in the final played today in Malmo, Sweden.

Romania last won the EC in 2019 and has five titles overall. Andreea Dragoman had 10–8 in the deciding game against Nina Mittelham, but the German took four straight points in the final phase and won the game and the final.

Romania won 15 matches at the European Table Tennis Championship in Malmo and lost 7. Bernadette Szocs was the best player (8 games won, only 1 lost), Andreea Dragoman (3-2), Elizabeta Samara (3-4), and Adina Diaconu (1-0).
