The Romanian economy should register a growth of 2.6% this year, the World Bank predicted in the Global Economic Prospects report published Tuesday.

Estimates are worse than those published in June, in another report, when the international financial institution showed that Romania’s GDP will grow by 3.7% this year. For 2024, the World Bank forecasts a 4.2% growth of Romania’s economy.

For the Central Europe region, the World Bank forecasts an economic growth of 1.1% this year and a growth of 2.7% next year, while the world economy would register an increase of 1 .7% in 2023.
